Hanson International, a division of the Hanson Group in St. Joseph, has announced the promotion of Heath Weich from sales project engineer to director of sales. Weich will oversee the sales team, improve processes and evaluate growth opportunities for the precision mold and die manufacturer as it expands its quality footprint in the automotive industry.
“Heath brings a wealth of experience that is hard to replicate in our industry,” said Hanson International President Julie LaVanway. He worked 23 years building world-class molds and dies on the shop floor and then 13 years in sales, providing innovative solutions to help customers meet their ever-changing industry needs. “Heath’s ‘can-do’ approach is an invaluable asset to our company and partners,” she said.
Weich joined the company in 1988. He started as an apprentice, which led to his journeyman certification and his growth through the ranks ever since.
Weich is married, has a son and daughter is gr. He is grateful for their support and encouragement throughout his career. Outside of work, he and his son compete in tractor-pulling contests.
