How do you think that Bold Women of Business demonstrate being bold?
Bold Women of Business demonstrate being bold by having the courage to start businesses while supporting their families and encouraging other women to do the same.
Bold women are often defined by a number of descriptors. Please choose from the following descriptors to produce the top three that you would say most exemplify your personality?
Please provide an example of when you feel you were at your very best in taking action on the job or in your role.
In patrolling our local beaches to spread water safety education I have felt my very best in taking action on the job when I hand out the last brochure.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened on your road to success?
The funniest thing that has happened on my road to success with S.H.A.P.E. is when one of my ambassadors was water watcher and another came up to her to try and hand her a brochure and share all things water safety with her. The two had only ever met once in person, though we all share through a group message board every week. They simply didn’t recognize each other and made for the best reintroduction!
Who most inspires your personal drive for success every day?
Anthony Diehl, his nephew Elijah Britt, Emily MacDonald, Kory Ernster the four lives lost to drowning in 2022 off of South Haven shores.
What is your best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed, as you have, in business?
Don’t let other people’s opinions hinder your working process. Keep your drive, always move forward, and figure it out when you get stuck. There is always a work around to any NO that you may receive. Outsource your weaknesses.
What does your selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market mean to you?
The selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market means the world to me. I never look for recognition in the things I dedicate my time to, only ever to help people along the way. To even have been nominated is a complete honor and unexpected.
