The Home Builders Association of Southwestern Michigan will host its Annual Spring Home and Garden Show next month at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs.
Association Executive Officer Patty Knicker tells us the event is a chance for homeowners to meet builders, contractors, and home improvement professionals while finding new ideas for spring projects.
“So it’s kind of like a one-stop shopping for your home improvement projects for the spring,” Knicker said. “We have food trucks and kids activities, as well as a live demonstration from a blacksmith. So you’ll have one hands-on experience.”
Knicker says they’ll have 62 vendors on hand, covering several aspects of home improvement.
“We’ve got some roofers, we’ve got gutters. Pretty much you name it, you think of it, we’ve got them there. We’ve covered all our bases with carpeting and flooring, bath remodeling, painting, power washing, anything that you could think of.”
The Spring Home and Garden Show has been held each year for more than 25 years, with a brief pause during COVID. Knicker says they’re hoping for at least 2,000 people.
Lowe’s will be handing out Build and Grow Kits to kids, AIM Water Treatment will provide free lime and iron water testing, and they’ll have food trucks from Ben’s Pretzels and Chick-fil-A.
The show will be held Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds. You can learn more right here.
