Honor Credit Union Secures Naming Rights to Kalamazoo Ballpark

Honor Credit Union has entered into a long-term naming rights agreement for the home stadium of the Kalamazoo Growlers, rebranding the facility as Honor Credit Union Stadium.

The ballpark, located in Mayor’s Riverfront Park, has long been known as Homer Stryker Field. Under the agreement, that name will remain in place for the playing surface, which will continue to be called Homer Stryker Field.

The Growlers compete in the Northwoods League, a Midwest-based summer collegiate league that draws players from college programs across the country. Team officials report the franchise has seen steady attendance growth in recent seasons, with more than 80,000 fans attending games last year.

Terms of the naming rights agreement were not disclosed.

The partnership coincides with a series of upgrades at the stadium, including improvements to seating, concessions, protective netting and retail space. Team and company officials say the goal is to enhance the fan experience and expand the use of the facility beyond baseball, including community events and other programming.

Honor Credit Union, headquartered in Berrien Springs, operates branches across multiple West and Southwest Michigan communities and has been increasing its presence in the Kalamazoo area in recent years. The organization has been active in sponsorships and community partnerships throughout its service area.

The Growlers’ season typically runs from late spring through mid-summer, with the stadium also hosting additional events outside of the baseball schedule.
