Honor Sets the Stage for $25K in Community Commitment Scholarships

With a snow day at hand and ice on the doorstep, there’s a good chance that not a lot of dreamscapes today flashed forward to graduation day and college classes, but this would be an excellent time to gather thoughts and get them on paper to capitalize on a very generous offer from the team at Honor Credit Union.

Honor Credit Union works diligently to support local outstanding high school seniors with their annual Honor Credit Union Community Commitment Scholarship. In fact, the credit union will award a $1,000 scholarship to 25 graduating high school or home school seniors throughout Honor’s 25 branch communities this spring.

To be considered for the scholarship, student applicants first and foremost must be a primary account holder at Honor Credit Union. Additionally, the graduating senior must complete an online application detailing their academic performance and community involvement. Plus, applicants will be asked to provide a 300-400-word essay explaining how they have made their community a better place.

Stacey Carlin is Communication & Brand Manager for Honor Credit Union. She says, “We believe in the power of local involvement, and this scholarship allows us to recognize and support the next generation of leaders who are already making a difference in their communities.”

Applications may be submitted between now and March 15, 2019. Scholarship winners will then be announced in late April. To access the application form and view the complete list of requirements, simply click the link below:
