Inn at Harbor Shores Implements In-Room Tablet Technology

With modern technology increasingly at the forefront of people’s decisions regarding where to rest their weary heads at the end of the day while on business trips, celebrating special occasions or simply making an escape for a week, a weekend or longer, the cast and crew at The Inn at Harbor Shores continue to ride the cutting edge.

Hotel General Manager Brady Cohen tells me that his inn is the first property in the entire state of Michigan to provide the top-notch technology of Intelity, through placement of in-room tablets in each of the 92 rooms in the house overlooking the inner harbor on the St. Joseph riverfront.

Cohen says that Intelity is the global travel industry’s first and most powerful enterprise guest engagement and staff management platform, and The Inn at Harbor Shores has implemented its expansive hospitality platform, marking the first property in Michigan to do so.

Cohen says, “We are proud to announce our launch of Intelity’s in-room tablets in all our guest rooms,” and adds, “Implementing this technology will help us better manage our operational efficiencies and guests’ requests, and will put us on the cutting edge of hotel technology trends.”

Through the Intelity platform, guests and staff of resort property will have access to a custom mobile app, in-room tablets, and the platform’s back office dashboard, which combined, will dramatically improve operational efficiency, drive new revenue opportunities, and helps meet the expectations of today’s highly-connected travelers.

Cohen says, “We’re excited to be the first property in Michigan to implement this technology and we look forward to seeing how our guests react to this newest addition. Incorporating the new tablet device into our daily operations will allow us to continue to create exceptional guest experiences while adding in a new layer of personalization. Cheers to a new year and new technology!”

The Inn at Harbor Shores, located on one of the oldest harbors in the Great Lakes, has solidified its role as southwest Michigan’s leading resort destination. Designed in the style of the classic coastal architecture of the late 19th and early 20th century, The Inn at Harbor Shores boasts 92 beautifully appointed rooms.

For his part, Intelity CEO Robert Stevenson says, “We are excited to welcome The Inn at Harbor Shores into our portfolio of stunning boutique hotels,” and adds, “Guests and staff alike will enjoy the connectivity that the Intelity platform provides and we look forward to seeing the impact that it has on the inn’s staff management and guest experience.”

The roll-out of the new technology will be done in two phases. The first phase will include the implementation of Intelity’s in-room tablets, mobile app, and their back office solution that is integrated with Maestro, the property’s PMS. Intelity’s mobile key solution will be implemented as part of the second phase. Guests will be able to expedite check-in and checkout via the mobile app, and use their mobile devices to enter the property’s amenities without a key, thus modernizing one of Michigan’s top resort destinations.

Intelity is an enterprise technology platform that bridges the connection between service industry workforces and their customers, providing service-on-demand to the hotel, casino, and luxury residential markets. Their platform is comprised of three key areas: Intelity Guest…Staff…and Connect, each addressing common pain points experienced by service industry workforces.
