Job Fair Wednesday at Michigan Works!

If you’re looking for a job, you’ll want to join Michigan Works! at their next hiring event where an estimated 25 employers will be meeting with candidates to fill their open positions.

The next hiring event will take place on Wednesday, May 1 from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm at the Michigan Works! Service Center, located at 499 West Main Street in Benton Harbor.

The growing list of employers includes: Arcadia Home Care & Staffing, Beacon Specialized Living Services, Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety, Bonnell Aluminum, First Student Inc., Help at Home, Ironworkers Local 292, Martin’s Supermarket, New Products Corporation, Republic Services, Special-Lite, Spectrum Community Services, Telamon Migrant Head Start, The Center for Growth and Independence, Tri-County Head Start, and United States Army.

In addition to hosting employers in various industries, the job fair will also host resource providers to help job seekers with education, training, and support services. Attending resource providers include ALR Educational Health Services, Lake Michigan College, MDHHS, and MedCertify.

The Secretary of State Mobile Office will also be present at the event, bringing services directly to individuals with limited access to their offices and the internet. Through the mobile office, individuals can obtain driver licenses, state identification, vehicle registrations and renewals, fees and pay fines.

Individuals who would like to participate should arrive at the job fair interview ready with an updated resume. Jobseekers are encouraged to pre-register their attendance here.
