What’s the best advice you ever got?
The best advice I’ve ever received is from my grandma, “Do the best you can, until you can do better, then do better”. It reminds me to always do my best and accept that I’ll make mistakes but as long as I learn and grow from them I will always do better.
Who inspires you most?
My brother, Chris. He inspires me to always take ownership and responsibility for outcomes. He is passionate about helping people and is always putting others before himself.
That one thing about you we’d be most surprised to learn.
One thing others would be most surprised to learn about me is that I can’t play video games. My hand eye coordination is horrible when it comes to controllers.
What do you love to do in your downtime?
In my down time my favorite thing is sitting on the sidelines, being both my son’s biggest fan and cheering loudly for their teams.

American Fire by Monica Hesse
Volunteer activity you love the most.
The volunteer activity I love the most is Rake-a-Difference. It allows me to combine two things I enjoy most, helping people and being outdoors.
What motivates you to give back to your community?
My motivation for giving back to the community is knowing that my contributions will be valued by my children and my children’s children. If I can accomplish one thing, I would want it to be leaving them in a community that cherishes the future leaders of the community and knowing they will continue to advocate for positive change that benefits children in our community.
What Superpower would you most love to have?
The Superpower I would love to have the most is teleportation! I would use it to spend less time traveling places and more time experiencing things or with friends and family.
What would you like to leave behind as your legacy once you are gone?
I hope I leave a legacy of kindness and an inspiration for people to pursue their dreams, no matter the unconventional path they may take to get there.
What does the honor of being named to the 40 Under 40 most mean to you?
Being named to the 40 Under 40 is an honor to me because I am proud to show my sons that being passionate about your career and working hard is valued, recognized and celebrated by those around you.
