The Coloma/St. Joseph KOA campground has earned major recognition in its industry. During Kampgrounds of America (KOA) recent annual convention the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday was again recognized as one of the best parks in the KOA system earning both the President’s and Founder’s Awards for 2024.
Owners, Mark & Karla Lemoine, and Operations Managers, Richard & Jennifer Burlingham, were in attendance at the convention in Las Vegas, and were honored to officially receive the award. Each year KOA gathers guest surveys from more than a quarter million KOA campers following their campground stays. That vital guest feedback, paired with the results of an annual inspection process, qualifies KOA campgrounds across the US and Canada for this recognition.
Mark Lemoine provided some background on the awards and why his team works hard to achieve such recognition.
The KOA President’s Award is presented to KOA campgrounds that excel in providing excellent camping facilities and consistently high levels of guest service. Chosen by KOA’s camping guests through satisfaction surveys and Kampgrounds of America, Inc.’s stringent quality inspection, recipients of the President’s Award are dedicated to providing great KOA camping.
Dave Drum, founder of Kampgrounds of America, Inc. was an extraordinary visionary and dreamer. The recipients of KOA’s premiere achievement, the KOA Founder’s Award, share Dave’s dream of providing the highest quality camping facilities while exceeding KOA guests’ expectations. As leaders in outdoor hospitality, KOA Founder’s Award recipients embody Dave’s vision of entrepreneurship and innovation while providing excellence for generations of campers.
“We thank our guests for entrusting us with their outdoor recreational time,” Lemoine concluded.. “We also thank our amazing team for embracing our high standards of delivering exceptional guest service, making us one of the best parks in all of southwest Michigan.”
