A popular summer music event is taking a year off.
Lake Breeze at Sunset organizers say they will skip 2026 and focus on planning a bigger and better concert in 2027.
Lake Breeze has occasionally been plagued with weather challenges, being forced to move the Shado=wland Pavilion show to Lake Michigan College on short notice at least twice during its existence.
The smooth jazz focused concert event has usually been scheduled to coincide with St. Joseph’s Krasl Art Fair weekend in early July. It returned after the Covid pandemic in 2022, stepping into a date and venue long occupied by a similar event, Smooth Jazz at Sunset, which happened from 2003 through 2019, but did not survive the pandemic hiatus.
