Lake Michigan College Career Services will host two free October events on the Benton Harbor campus, both open to LMC students and community members.
Wear Your Confidence – Tues., Oct. 7, 1:30 p.m.
Wear Your Confidence offers an empowering afternoon focused on career readiness strategies. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. with a brief opening by Kathi Szabo, LMC Career Development Specialist, who will discuss the importance of first impressions and personal branding in job searches and career advancement.
Then, attendees will enjoy the fashion show featuring professional looks modeled by LMC students, faculty, staff, and local professionals.
“We want to help attendees discover how to express their authentic selves while dressing professionally for interviews, networking events, and the workplace,” said Kathi Szabo, LMC Career Development Specialist. “By showcasing classic styles, versatile outfit choices, and ensembles that reflect personal flair, we’re demonstrating that professional dress doesn’t mean sacrificing individuality.”
After the fashion show, attendees can browse a pop-up shopping experience at the LMC Second Hand Boutique. Stocked with donated clothing from the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber’s NextGen Young Professionals group, the boutique allows attendees to find professional pieces that suit their personal style.
