Registration opens August 19 for the first Leadership Accelerator course to be offered in South Haven, an 11-week program designed to strengthen leadership skills across industries and the community.
Hosted by the South Haven Regional Business Hub, the program is aimed at emerging leaders, established professionals, seasoned executives looking to refine their skills, community advocates, and forward-thinking visionaries.
“This is about growing our local economy by developing stronger leaders,” said Debbie Howe, board chair of the South Haven Regional Business Hub. “All industries need strong leaders to design a vision for where we’re headed. This program helps participants identify and accelerate their strengths, communicate effectively, and build collaborative relationships.”
The course begins with strength-based leadership and covers topics including effective communication, team dynamics, and community engagement. It’s administered by Purpose Partners and presented in collaboration with Lake Michigan College – South Haven Campus and the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber, with support from a South Haven Community Foundation grant.
The fee is $1,500, with some scholarships available. While new to South Haven, the program has run for more than 20 years in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph and over 40 years in Kalamazoo.
More information will be available when registration opens at southhavenrbh.org.
