All you have to do to figure out the success of Michigan’s longest running annual wine festival is do a quick scan of the key elements. It takes place outdoors on a summer weekend…it happens on Father’s Day…there’s live music and great barbecue…and there’s a vineyard full of award winning wines and one of the most classic collections of Corvette cars you could imagine. That’s the winning combination that has been in place for 35 years now at Lemon Creek Winery of Berrien Springs.
Once again Lemon Creek is hosting what will be its 35th Annual Father’s Day Wine Festival. It’s already Michigan’s longest running, annual wine festival, and the Wine Festival and Corvette Show are coming on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16th, from 12 noon to 6 pm at Lemon Creek Winery, located at 533 E. Lemon Creek Road in Berrien Springs.
The live music will be provided by Libido Funk Circus, the iconic, entertaining dance and party band from Chicago that has become a regional favorite, bringing high energy music from the 90’s to the present to everyone.
Members of the Corvette Coventry Club of Southwest Michigan will be displaying a large variety of their classic Corvettes for all car enthusiasts in the region.
Supervised and organized children’s games are available along with a “bouncy house” for the younger kids, and hayrides will also run throughout the day for the entire family. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. However, coolers and animals are not.
Ribs, pulled pork, cornbread, and more will be available from Smokin’ D’s BBQ Food Truck, and Classic Catering will also be on site serving Brie bread bowls, sandwiches, and assorted wood-fired pizzas.
Admission is $12.00 per person for those 21 & older, but parking is free. Children are admitted free when accompanied by their parents. Admission also includes a souvenir wine glass and a ticket for 3 free tastings of estate-grown, award winning wines.
Special sales and new wine releases are featured at the festival.
