
St. Joseph and Benton Harbor will soon have a new, upscale option for storing RVs, boats, collector cars, and other prized possessions. M-63 Hangars (aviation-themed garages), now under construction at the corner of Enterprise Way and M-63 just north of St. Joseph, are designed to combine security, convenience, and comfort in one package.
Planned for completion by the end of 2025, the development offers a level of storage rarely seen in the region: climate-controlled garages with finished interiors, private or shared restrooms, electrical service up to 200 amps, water access, RV plugs, Wi-Fi, and even trash service.
Three Sizes, One Premium Concept
M-63 Hangars will feature three unit types, all with oversized overhead doors, heating and air conditioning, and secure gated access.

Grumman (960 sq. ft.) – $1,000/month, community restroom

Mirage (1,440 sq. ft.) – $1,500/month, private restroom

Pilatus (1,800 sq. ft.) – $2,000/month, private restroom
Each unit requires a one-month deposit and leases are available from one to three years. Utilities are billed separately.
Designed for Peace of Mind
Priebe Development, LLC, which is leading the project, says the idea grew out of a simple observation: Southwest Michigan’s RV and boating community needed better options for secure, upscale storage.
“People here invest in their recreation—whether that’s RVs, boats, or collector cars—but until now, the storage options have been limited. M-63 Hangars is designed to meet that demand with a facility that’s as comfortable and reliable as the vehicles it protects.”
Security features include 24/7 gated access, LED motion-detection lighting, and individual metered services for each unit. Benton Township zoning allows for storage use only, not business/commercial operations, keeping the focus on recreational and personal vehicles.
Location Matters
The site’s location is part of its appeal. Just minutes from downtown St. Joseph and close to Rocky Gap Park on Lake Michigan, the facility offers easy access to highways, marinas, and lakefront neighborhoods.
