A stunning display of creativity is now open to the public at the Box Factory for the Arts, where the 2025 Michiana Annual Art Competition (MAAC) is in full swing. More than 150 original pieces from 120 artists across Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana are featured in this juried fine art exhibition — and now it’s your turn to weigh in.
While judges have already awarded top honors in eight categories plus Best of Show, one important decision is still up to you: the People’s Choice Award. Visitors are invited to browse the exhibit and vote for their favorite artwork, either online or in person. Voting remains open through July 6.
There’s no substitute for seeing the artwork up close. From paintings and photography to sculpture, fiber art and mixed media, the MAAC exhibit offers something for every artistic taste. Stop in during regular gallery hours — Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays), and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. — and cast your vote.
Votes for People’s Choice can also be submitted online at www.gogophotocontest.com/maac. Each vote costs $1, with proceeds supporting ongoing programming at the Box Factory.
It’s your chance to support local art — and help crown this year’s People’s Choice winner!
