A major truck manufacturer based in the state of Washington has cited several West Michigan companies as being among their top performing suppliers in all of North America including one in Niles and one in South Haven.
PACCAR, a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of premium light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates, utilizes a comprehensive Supplier Performance Management program to evaluate supplier performance in the areas of product development, operations and aftermarket support, and alignment with the company’s key business objectives.
PACCAR also designs and manufactures advanced diesel engines, provides financial services, information technology, and distributes truck parts related to its principal business.
Each year, PACCAR recognizes its top performing suppliers in the SPM program, an honor given to suppliers that reach the SPM Master, Leader and Achiever status. The program drives collaboration and continuous improvement between PACCAR and its suppliers, which leads to performance enhancements and product innovations.
Among the SPM Leaders for 2020 at PACCAR was Pilkington North America which has major operations anchored in Niles, and among the SPM Achievers for 2020 through PACCAR, was Vibracoustic USA, Inc. of South Haven.
