On the heels of major expansion of its offices and shop facilities to Benton Harbor in June, Martell Electric is growing again.
Martell Electric, LLC, has acquired the assets of Tishhouse Electric in Kalamazoo. Martell Electric is a division of Martell Services Group, Inc., based in South Bend.
Tishhouse Electric was founded in 1998 by Carrie and Stephen Tishhouse, who will be actively involved with Martell Electric. They commented, “It was important to us that we partnered with an organization that shares our values, and we know that John Martell and his team will honor our legacy as they expand here”.
According to John Martell, CEO of Martell Electric, “With the acquisition, there are 12 employees in the Portage office, and we expect that to grow to 30 or more in 2022.” Martell continued, “This market is a key part of our Michigan and overall growth strategy.” Martell Electric has leased a 10,000-square-foot office and warehouse at 9950 Portage Road in Portage.
