As work continues on the eventual connection linking U.S.-31 to I-94, tree removal work tomorrow morning will disrupt some traffic where I-94 and I-196 come together in Benton Township according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
MDOT is warning drivers that the ramp from Westbound I-94 to Northbound I-196 in Benton Township will be closed for tree removal from 9-to-11:30 am tomorrow morning, Wednesday, March 31st.
The work is part of the reconstruction of 3.5 miles of I-94 from Britain Avenue to east of I-196, including the new I-94 Business Loop/US-31 interchange, which entails a total investment north of $94-million between now and May of 2023.
The MDOT graphic accompanying this story on Moody on the Market shows the ramp in question that will be closed for 2 and a half hours tomorrow morning.
