National Apprenticeship week 2022 is November 14-20 and Michigan Works! wants to help YOU celebrate apprentices that have made a lasting impact in their industry.
This nationwide celebration provides Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren the opportunity to highlight how Registered Apprenticeship Programs can help address some of our nation’s most pressing workforce challenges. To celebrate this nationwide event, the agency is seeking five current or alumni apprentices that have been dedicated to their area of focus.
“Apprenticeships are more than a job. Apprenticeships center around education, hands-on experience, relationship building, and career planning,” said Chrissy Meek, Program Manager at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren. “We wanted to take this week to celebrate apprentices in southwest Michigan who are focused on turning their apprenticeship into a long-term sustainable career and established these awards to applaud their efforts.”
A strong award candidate:
Must be a current or alumni apprentice of a registered USDOL apprenticeship. Proof is required.
Must work or live in Berrien, Cass, or Van Buren County.
