Many people love crepes.  But only a few make them at home.  Crepe lovers in St. Joseph will soon have a place to go for a wide variety of their favorite treat.

‘Full of Crepe’ is slated to open at 315 State Street by the June 1st-if not before.

The crepe shop with the catchy name is the first time business venture of local couple Aaron and Amy Hake.  Aaron told us that he’s fulfilling a dream.

“I have wanted to open a crêperie for over five years now. I didn’t want to rush anything, but when I started to seriously look into bringing this to the community, the location became available at just the right time. I am looking forward to getting the doors opened.”

Aaron explained the menu will be pretty straightforward.

“The menu will offer sweet and savory crepe options including vegetarian items. Gluten Free crepes will also be available. We will be using local ingredients as the seasons permit.

Our crêpes will be made to order, and our patrons will be able to watch their creations being made.  Our drink selection will be simple as well: fresh coffee, along with a wide variety of bottled and canned beverages.”

The new creperie will located in the middle of the block between Broad and Pleasant Streets, next door to the G & M Variety Store.  There will be seating in-house, as well as take-out for enjoying at home or while you shop downtown.

Amy Hake told us she’s most looking forward to meeting her new customers.

“Some days I sit and reflect ‘is this really happening?!’ The positive response from our community has been overwhelming. We cannot wait to see friends and family, meet new faces, and watch memories unfold at 315 State, where we’re always going to say, ‘everyone is Full of Crepe!’ “

The shop will be open every day except Tuesday, 8am-4pm.
