If you've seen the new building going up along M-139 just off of Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor and wondered what's on the way, Michael Pantelleria has your answer. It's a 5,000 square foot building which will not only be the headquarters for his construction and property management company, but it could also be the headquarters for your company as well.
The 30-year old Pantelleria owns and operates Pantelleria Construction Services & Property Management, a two-year old contracting firm that has been engaged in residential and commercial construction since the company was founded in the summer of 2014. Michael tells me that the building currently under construction will have four commercial bays anchored by his new offices and showroom. The remaining three bays will be available for lease and the sooner additional companies commit to space in the building, the more custom design work he can do for the space they are interested in.
Pantelleria's business will anchor the southern end of the building (the left end as seen in the photo above). He is carving out a 30-by-50 foot bay for his firm and a mirror image 30-by-50 foot bay is under construction on the northern end of the building, while the two center bays are designed to be 20-by-50 foot spaces. He tells me that the concept is similar to the commercial center erected by Williams Buildings on Red Arrow Highway in Stevensville.
Pantelleria's new building alongside Family Dollar could turn out to be the first of several buildings on that site depending on the demand for commercial space there, inasmuch as he has additional land available if the project turns into a hot corner.
