Sometimes you have to literally search the world over in order to turn up what you were looking for right in your own back yard. Such is the case today for the flight team at South Bend International Airport. Following a nationwide search, the St. Joseph County Airport Authority reports today their selection of Brock Zeeb of South Bend to the role of Director of Administration & Finance at South Bend International Airport. He steps into that role first thing tomorrow morning, Thursday, January 28, 2016.
Zeeb will report to SBN’s Executive Director, Mike Daigle. In this new role, Zeeb will manage administrative, business and financial activities of the Airport Authority, namely direction of the financial management program including coordination and management of all functional activities associated with budget preparation, reporting and financial analysis.
Zeeb is a longtime resident of the area and most recently served as the Director of Economic Resources for the City of South Bend, where he managed seven redevelopment areas and $25 million in revenue. He also led the City in bond financing/refinancing of over $50 million dollars. Prior to that, Zeeb worked with the Internal Revenue Service in South Bend as a revenue officer.
Regarding the opportunity, Zeeb tells us, “It has been exciting to watch the tremendous growth occurring at the airport,, and I am excited about the opportunity to join the SBN team.”
Airport Director Mike Daigle says, “We are excited to have Brock join our team. He brings an energy, enthusiasm and drive that will make him a contributing team member very quickly.”
Zeeb has both Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Bethel University. He and his wife, Bethany, have two young children. In his free time, he enjoys golf and fitness.
Zeeb replaces Michael Guljas who retired from the Authority at the end of 2015 after 32 years of service.
