As aging baby boomers continue to fill the patient pipeline for hip replacements, knee surgeries and the like, the team at the Southwest Michigan Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine group has welcomed a new Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Nicholas Loafman to the practice.
Dr. Loafman joins the team in St. Joseph and will begin seeing patients March 1st at the St. Joseph office located at 183 Peace Boulevard. Patients can call 269-428-3500 to schedule an appointment.
Dr. Loafman joins board certified orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Kenneth Edwards, Dr. James Burczak, Dr. Joseph Farber, Dr. Daniel Sohn and Dr. Justin Sybesma.
Southwest Michigan Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine specializes in a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, including hip arthroscopy, making it one of the few groups in the southwest Michigan area to offer the procedure.
Dr. Kenneth Edwards, who serves as managing partner of the group, says, “Hip arthroscopy is one of the more sought after procedures. It is a minimally invasive procedure and has greatly improved patient pain and quality of life.” He adds, “We are thrilled to have Dr. Loafman join us and provide this service to our patients.”
Southwest Michigan Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine was established in 2004 and serves Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties. The group is known for utilizing the latest techniques and technology in orthopaedic care including minimally invasive procedures and computer assisted surgeries leading to greater success and shorter recovery time for patients.
