The excitement is palpable for the crew at the new Caretel Inns St. Joseph as they prepare for an official ribbon cutting ceremony this month in Royalton Township, completing the deal that brought them into the Symphony Care Network of Chicago.
Symphony Care expanded their footprint when they officially added five former Caretel Inns of America centers to their network back on June 1st of this year, including the former Caretel Inns of Lakeland locally. That expansion represents Symphony Care Network’s debut in the Michigan assisted-living and skilled-nursing markets. The five former Caretel Inns centers join Symphony’s strong portfolio, now totaling 29 centers across four states.
Stephanie Hildebrant, former V.P. of Innovation and Operations at Caretel Inns, and now V.P. of Operations at Symphony Care Network, says, “I am very excited for Caretel to become part of the Symphony family,” adding, “The history, philosophies, and values of the two organizations are parallel, allowing the Caretel concept to not only continue, but to grow.”
Caretel Inns of Lakeland officially became Caretel Inns St. Joseph back in June when the complete acquisition was confirmed. General Manager, Dawn Long, says, “It was important that the Caretel name remain part of the new branding. This facility has been serving the community for nearly 25 years, and residents have a warm place in their hearts for Caretel. We want to enhance that relationship by providing new resources to serve the community’s evolving needs for years to come.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will take place fully outdoors and will follow current MDHHS COVID guidelines. As a “Thank You” Caretel Inns of St. Joseph will be giving away a free pie to everyone in attendance. Dignitaries and representatives from Caretel Inns St. Joseph and the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will perform the official ribbon cutting.
The event is slated for 4pm on Tuesday, November 17th at the Caretel Inns St. Joseph property located at 3905 Lorraine Path in St. Joseph, off of Niles Road.
