Japanese for ‘chit chat’, PechaKucha is a storytelling format that began in 2003 in Tokyo, and has since spread across the globe. Each presenter is given 400 seconds to present their ideas, passions, and projects, using a 20×20 model of 20 slides at 20 seconds each.
On Thursday January 13th, 2022, PechaKucha returns to The Box Factory in St. Joseph with Volume 22, and the community is abuzz with excitement. Doors open at 6pm, and the first presenter will begin promptly at 7pm. There will be a cash bar available, and as always, good company. At the door, tickets will be limited, but can be purchased in advance to ensure your seat. You can find them here.
The first PechaKucha in our area was held in 2015, and for the past seven years, many creative and brilliant minds have gathered to share their knowledge and expertise with community members. Masks are required by all participants and guests, when not presenting or imbibing. If you are interested in presenting or volunteering, email PechaKuchasjbh@gmail.com.
