Tell us the story behind the nominated company. What does it do, and what sets them apart from other companies in the region?
We are the ONLY LOCAL soft drink provider for Southwest Michigan. Our competitors are servicing this same geography but from Grand Rapids and Holland. We have sales teams placing orders and selling our products, warehouse team building pallets and loading route trucks and a delivery team making daily deliveries to over 2000 customers across Berrien, Cass and Van Burren Counties.
In your own words, why do you think this company deserves to be declared to be one of the 20 Best Places to Work in Michigan’s Great Southwest?We pride ourselves on being the ONLY LOCAL soft drink provider in southwest Michigan. Our employee work force are from every community that we sell, stock and delivery to and we like the fact that our employees are working everyday back in all the great communities that make up this great part of the state! Lake Michigan, The beach and a cold Pepsi is a winning combination!
What makes workers proud to say they work there, and keeps them a part of the team?
We are a competitive and winning team! We dominate against our competition and are share leaders in all categories of beverages that we sell and deliver!

Pivotal-Changes in the market place are always happening rapidly and we have to have the ability to pivot and switch gears!
Team Work-All working groups have to work together and communicate with each other all day, every day in order for things to run smoothly!
Tell us about the leadership of the nominated company and what they do in order to:
A] Keep spirits and motivation high? A ton of team incentives, outside of work get-togethers
B] Keep innovation and fresh ideas advancing? We always have new innovation items coming out so we pride ourselves on the speed-to-market ability that our team has to get these product out fast to retailers and in the hands of consumers!
C] Keep communications open? Team Meetings often, in person meetings, roundtables, manager/employee work withs, manager led coachings, trainings galore!

We continue to be category share leaders in all major categories of items we sell and deliver! Our location branch continues to perform at a high level each year and HQ recognizes that and is a big part of why our branch is still here in Benton Harbor and hasnt consolidated to other locations further away like our competitors have.

A] How does the nominated company honor or reward success? We have a full week dedicated to employee appreciation in September. We do a ton of work group specific incentives to keep employees engaged in their work.

C] How does the nominated company get involved in community events? We are a very big supporter to Krasl Art fair, Southwest Michigan United Way and Cornerstone Alliance
