Police Seek Public Help In Armed Robbery at BP Station

A Sunday night armed robbery is the focus of police attention on multiple fronts this morning, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for the hold up in the Scottdale crossroads of Royalton Township.

Last night shortly after 9:30pm, a gunman held up the clerk at the BP Service Station located at 4297 Niles Road in Royalton Twp. Officers from the Berrien County Patrol  were joined by the Berrien County Detective Bureau, the Michigan State Police, St Joseph Police and the St Joseph Twp Police Department at the scene.

The suspect was described as being a black male, approximately 5 foot 9-inches tall, of medium build and wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants. A pistol was displayed.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
