Power In Motion Converts to Online Class & Activity Content

When Merriam-Webster and other wordsmiths eventually trot out the Word of the Year for 2020, a couple of challengers will have to be reinvention and re-purposing which is exactly what seemingly all of us are having to do in our day-to-day living in order to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

For some that might be as simple as relocation of a computer from an office desk to a kitchen counter. For others, it has been a massive, sometimes insurmountable, ordeal that threatens to derail the very livelihood we all try to nurture and maintain.

For the creative folks at Royalton Township’s Power in Motion Gymnastics, Dance & Cheer you know it has to be hard. Clearly, a physical presence is required to accomplish the work of coaches, trainers, instructors and others. Yet, they — like many other industries — have been forced to reinvent themselves and re-purpose the tools at hand.

As a result, Power In Motion General Manager Alyse Perry tells me they are going totally online due to the state mandated shelter-in-place order and the command to close up shop. Rather than being bummed out about the situation, Perry says, “We are excited to be able to offer many online opportunities for any and all!”

In a strong bid to maintain the bond and strong relationships they have developed over the years with the Power In Motion kids and families, Perry knows, “Kids need us now more than ever as they don’t have much interaction with being home all day.”

By offering online activities through the Power In Motion platform, Perry and her team want to help families to keep their kids active — especially during a time when all spring sports and other activities have landed on the ever-growing cancellation list.

So…Power In Motion will offer virtual gymnastics…and dance…and cheer…and even Ninja classes with your favorite instructors. For those who haven’t already established a relationship with Power In Motion, which is physically located along M-139 in the Scottdale neighborhood across from Pater True Value Hardware, there is the opportunity to try any class that the team offers from the comfort of your own home.

Power In Motion will offer online interactive workouts for all ages, including adults during the pandemic, complete with engaging, interactive songs and dances for the entire family. A bonus is being offered in the form of “read-alouds” of favorite stories for the kids.

There are also parent workout and dance classes in the line up, along with nutrition education and healthy snack ideas to keep everyone quarantined happy, safe and healthy.

Remember, Power In Motion is sharing their content not just for current members. Anyone in the entire community can join in and check out the virtual options at your fingertips.
