Present PIllars declares ‘Dad Week’, plans special events

Present Pillars has declared ‘Dad Week ‘25,’ a dynamic, weeklong celebration recognizing the essential role fathers and father figures play in shaping families and communities. Taking place June 9–15, 2025, Dad Week at Present Pillars will feature a series of high-impact events focused on family fun, service, and meaningful connection.

“This is more than a celebration, it’s a movement,” said James Gunter, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Present Pillars Foundation. “We are creating a culture where fathers are uplifted, honored, and equipped to lead. These events are open to everyone who values the power and presence of fatherhood.”

The Dad Week ‘25 schedule includes four events designed to inspire and unite:

Frank’s Tot Lot Clean-Up

Tuesday, June 10 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Frank’s Park, 122 E Britain Ave.
The week kicks off with a community service initiative to revitalize Frank’s Tot Lot. Volunteers will help restore this cherished neighborhood space. All materials — including gloves and tools — will be provided.

Lilo & Stitch Family Movie Night

Tuesday, June 10 | Benton Harbor Celebration Cinema | Check-In at 5:30 PM, Movie at 6:00 PM
Bring the whole family to enjoy Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” on the big screen. Tickets are only $7.50 and include complimentary popcorn and a drink. Limited seating — purchase in advance via Present Pillars’ website or social media platforms.

Fatherhood Flicks

Wednesday, June 11 | 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Best Buy Teen Tech Center, 190 W Empire Ave.
In partnership with the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, this event offers fathers and father figures a chance to take professional portraits and lifestyle shots with their children. A celebration of presence, love, and legacy.

 

Uncle Carl’s Father’s Day at the Beach

Sunday, June 15 | 11:00 AM | Jean Klock Park, Benton Harbor
 Dad Week culminates in a beachside celebration open to all. Families are invited to grill, relax, and connect during a day dedicated to honoring local fathers and father figures.
