Prolific Family Brings Us The Formal Fork

The family that brought us The Galley Grill in Stevensville has launched a new enterprise ready to bring you their culinary talents anywhere you'd like…or they can host you at their soon to open banquet hall for any manner of special events in the Harbor Country neighborhood.

The Formal Fork is officially up and running as a full-service catering firm throughout Michigan's Great Southwest ready to handle off-site events of virtually any size…and coming soon, they will anchor their operations for on-site events just off of I-94 in New Buffalo.

The Formal Fork is the brainchild of the Mamouzellos family, which brings more than 30-years of experience to the table featuring two exceptional chefs and a host of talented folks ready to showcase your event large or small.

Antonios Mamouzellos, better known simply as Chef Tony, is the patriarch of the family. He brings an esteemed foundation to The Formal Fork that is both unrivaled and respected on multiple fronts.

John Mamouzellos, also a first-class Chef, has taken Tony's foundation and elaborated on it for a modern flair, continuously pushing the boundaries in a break-away from tradition while still offering a flavor profile second to none.

Will Mamouzellos is the Event Coordinator for The Formal Fork. He has a knack for staying true under the most stringent circumstances and exceeds at coordination and collaboration. 

Mike Mamouzellos is also an Event Coordinator with an attention to detail. He persistent drive for perfection will assure your every need gets fulfilled by The Formal Fork team in every event. 

The family's prolific baker, Angie, can create any cake you can dream up, and has things covered from edible sugar flowers to airbrushed art. 

The Mamouzellos family brings a strong background in the food service industry to their new venture, and a diversity of menus for a variety of tastes from traditional fare to modern gourmet and everything in between. 

Workers, including family members themselves, are currently painting and putting the finish touches on the decor for their new banquet hall at The American Hellenic Cultural Center, located at 17760 Behner Road, just yards away from the I-94 – U.S. 12 interchange at New Buffalo. The center has undergone an extensive modernization and renovation to help support anything from a small business meeting to a grand reception. The center is capable of handling crowds of just over 500 people, and The Formal Fork staff will make every event one to remember.

While the finishing touches are going up, outside catering is ongoing for The Formal Fork, including a personalized dinner event for 12 and a class reunion of several hundred. The catering kitchen access in both New Buffalo and Stevensville, The Formal Fork is ready for action across the region. 

Grand Opening event planning is underway and will likely be a combined showcase and taste-testing event designed to garner your feedback on what you like from their menus. Speaking of feedback, the Mamouzellos family is currently conducting a Facebook contest seeking your input on which types of holidays or events you would like to enjoy at their banquet hall including such things as Christmas parties, New Year's celebrations, a Greek Festival or Greek Night or anything else you'd like to see. With plans to host several annual events, they're looking to narrow the list down and are offering tickets to the event of your choice to winners of the contest on Facebook. 

The Formal Fork offers signature menus and a professional staff, designed to alleviate your worries as a host, even handling set up and clean up services, as you turn over the legwork to their team, and a network of premium vendors bringing amenities like flowers, music, decor, and beverages to the event, even jewelry and makeup if you desire.
