Reminder: Flywheelers Antique Engine & Tractor Show Thru Sunday in South Haven

Flywheelers

The Michigan Flywheelers Antique Engine & Tractor Show, today thru Sunday, in South Haven celebrates Michigan’s rich  agricultural history.

The show is a giant size “Slice of Americana”, sponsored and presented by the non-profit Michigan Flywheelers Museum.

This 42nd annual show is one of the largest antique tractor shows in the Midwest and it typically draws from 8,000 to 10,000 attendees every year.

Hundreds of antique tractors and steam engines will be on display, including an operating steam powered sawmill and shingle mill, authentic operating blacksmith shop, vintage farm equipment, conveniences and memorabilia.  All this plus live bands, food, huge flea market and entertainment.

Visitors can also get a good look at hundreds of rare antique tractors on display.  Including many legendary nameplates that once thrived, but have long since disappeared:  International Harvester, Farmall, Case, Cockshutt, Massey Ferguson, Allis Chalmers and more.

Michigan’s thriving agricultural industry has grown and flourished through the years.  It has been a major factor in the turnaround for the Michigan economy.  Show organizers say thatAgri-business continues to be a mainstay for the Michigan economy both now and in the future.

The event takes place at the Michigan Flywheelers showgrounds on 68th Street just south off Phoenix Road, South Haven.  Gates open daily at 8am, today thru Sunday.  Rustic camping is available.  Musical entertainment is featured  in the evenings.
