SJHS Cancels SAT, Clarifies School Closure Timeline in Letter to Parents

Many students rejoice when a test gets postponed, but when you’ve been studying for weeks for the SATs, that might be less well received. Nevertheless, that’s today’s message in St. Joe.

Due to the Governor’s mandated school closure order issued late last night, the St. Joseph Public Schools have been forced to cancel the SAT test administration that had been scheduled for tomorrow, March 14th.

School officials say that all registered students should be receiving an email from the College Board with instructions for re-registering for another date in the future. If registered students do not hear from the College Board, you are asked to contact them directly. (You should not incur any additional charges.) You can call: 1-866-756-7346. School officials expressed their regret over the cancellation.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Dr. Tom Bruce has dispatched a letter to all parents in the St. Joseph district detailing the plan following Gov. Whitmer’s Thursday night mandate closing all K-12 schools in the state.
