Southwest Michigan Community Ambulance Service Director Brian Scribner has been named president of the Michigan Association of Ambulance Services board for the 2026-2027 term.
Scribner brings 35 years of experience in emergency medical services to the role and has led SMCAS for the past 12 years. He previously served as president-elect of the statewide organization. In his new position, Scribner says he plans to focus on strengthening ambulance services across Michigan and ensuring EMS agencies can continue providing critical pre-hospital care to communities.
The Michigan Association of Ambulance Services represents ambulance providers in 80% of the state’s counties and advocates for the nearly 29,000 EMS professionals serving Michigan residents.
SMCAS provides ambulance services for several communities in southern Berrien County, including Buchanan and Buchanan Township, Niles and Niles Township, and part of Pokagon Township.
