
The Indigo Strings, a quartet featuring musicians from the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, will perform as part of the SMSO’s Pop Up! Concert Series this week as the St. Joseph Today’s Friday Night Concert Series.
This ensemble will be the featured musical performance this Friday, August 16 at 7 p.m. at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell, 550 Port St., downtown St. Joseph.
Sara Thomas, cello, Beth Oeseburg, violin, Forrest Miesse, violin, and Sean Diller, viola, will feature musical selections from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” (One Hand, One Heart), Andrew Llyoyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” (All I Ask, Music of the Night), and Georges Bizet’s “Carmen” (Habanera, Entr’Acte).
In addition, the group will also perform several tangos and waltzes which will provide a varied evening of light classical, opera and Broadway works.
