Spectrum Health Lakeland Adds New Key Medical Staff

Your heart and respiratory system have picked up some key help through Spectrum Health Lakeland in a pair of personnel announcements from the local hospital system in Michigan’s Great Southwest.

Spectrum Health Lakeland announces addition of a new Cardiologist, Dr. Dennis Disch to the medical staff, as well as the arrival of Physician’s Assistant Jennifer Knip at Lakeland Rheumatology.

Dr. Disch diagnoses and treats conditions involving the cardiac system including heart failure, atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, and coronary heart disease, among others. He will see patients at Lakeland Cardiology, located at 61 North St. Joseph Avenue in Niles and Great Lakes Heart and Vascular at 3950 Hollywood Road, Suite 110, in St. Joseph.

Dr. Disch earned a bachelor of business administration degree at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr. Disch is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is also a member of multiple national affiliations including the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Meanwhile, Spectrum Health Lakeland is welcoming Jennifer Knip, PA, to the medical staff, as well. Knip will see patients at Lakeland Rheumatology, located at 3950 Hollywood Road, Suite 288 in St. Joseph.

Jennifer earned a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western Michigan University. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she worked as a registered respiratory therapist in Battle Creek. Jennifer is a member of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistant and the American Academy of Physician Assistant.
