SRPGA Adds Community Waffle Day

Senior PGA Championship Director Ryan Ogle and his team continue to re-write the rule books on creating a truly all encompassing, all-inclusive Championship week for the upcoming 2016 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. Ogle and his team continue to push the envelope with the PGA of America in evolving the event like never before. The work they are doing is unprecedented, and often times becomes the template for success in other markets for similar events nationwide.

There will be many examples of their revolutionary work to get the whole community involved, but few will be as tasty and fun as their upcoming Community Waffle Day hosted by the Championship.

The entire community of Michigan's Great Southwest is being invited to enjoy waffles prepared on KitchenAid Waffle Bakers along with fried chicken from Lark's BBQ, hot delicious coffee from The Phoenix in the Benton Harbor Arts District, and bacon from the Mason Jar Cafe.

The grand celebration will take place in a large tent on the parking lot of the former Ideal Place Restaurant at 212 Territorial Road in the Benton Harbor Arts District, accompanied by the Family Fun Zone sponsored by State Senator John Proos which will be located across the street and will feature PGA Professionals from the Michigan Section giving lessons to golfers of all skill levels.

Everyone is welcome to join the fun and great breakfast from 8am until 11am next Saturday, May 21st. Tickets are just $6 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under, and they are currently available for purchase at Lark's BBQ, the Phoenix, the Mason Jar Cafe, ARS Gallery, Cycle-Re-Cycle or simply purchase them at the door on the day of the event.

Ogle's crew continues to break the mold in multiple ways through great additions to the event including a sprawling Volunteer Hospitality Center, the front gate Community Showcase facility, local food truck vendors, special military honors during the Memorial Day weekend of the Championship, the Community Concert featuring the O'Jays, and many other features unique to the local community. Many of the ideas for such amenities have been generated through the brainstorming sessions hosted by the Championship office and event leaders, but the follow-through has been amazing.

Tickets to the 77th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid can be purchased starting at just $15 right now by clicking this link:  http://www.SRPGA.com
