St. Joseph Holds Listening Session For Businesses

The city of St. Joseph is getting input from businesses on how doing work with the city can improve. At a listening session Wednesday night, some of the topics were speeding up how long it takes to get answers, possibly adding shuttles to the city to have people park farther from downtown, and improving communication. City Manager John Hodgson was asked if it’s difficult to hear some criticism.

“You just have to take what you’re hearing and try to figure out how we’re going to move forward with it,” Hodgson told WSJM News. “I’ve got no question these are honestly held concerns, and ways that people would like to see the city move forward. I’m encouraged folks are here to work with the city to move forward, so that’s what we’re going to focus on is figuring out how we can work better with folks.”

The city’s next listening session will be September 15 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
