Staff updates announced at Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance

The Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Cornerstone Alliance is announcing two staff changes — one promotion and one new hire.

Joining the team as manager of the WBC is Chrissy Meek. According to Cornerstone’s announcement, “Meek brings a deep commitment to non-profit management and a strong background in securing and managing grants, enhancing the ability to support and counsel clients effectively. Her expertise in program coordination and client engagement is set to elevate the WBC’s offerings.”

Cornerstone officials say Meek will be instrumental in delivering client support, counseling, and program management.

In addition, Brandy Jaquez has been promoted to Director of the WBC. In her new role, Jaquez will oversee the strategic direction of WBC projects to drive significant impact in the community.

Chris Frank, Interim President of Cornerstone Alliance, expressed enthusiasm about the appointments.

“We are excited to welcome Chrissy Meek to our team and promote Brandy Jaquez to Director. Chrissy’s extensive experience in non-profits and grant writing will be invaluable in advancing our mission. Brandy’s entrepreneurial expertise and proven track record make her the ideal leader to drive our WBC projects forward. Together, they form a dynamic team that will significantly impact entrepreneurs in our community,” said Frank.

The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance states they are committed to assisting women, people of color, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals to start and grow businesses in Southwest Michigan. They provide technical, business, and financial assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
