State Police Study Business Burglaries

State Police at the Paw Paw post are hopeful that somebody was witness to illegal activity overnight last night and can help them solve a couple of costly business break-ins along the Van Buren-Kalamazoo County line. Two separate businesses were targeted, although police are still working to determine if the two are separate incidents or linked to one another.

State Police Lt. Dale Hinz says his unit is investigating a breaking and entering that happened sometime overnight at Complete Care Automotive on Highway M-43 in Almena Township of Van Buren County. The business is located at the corner of M-43, which is alternately known as West Main Street, near the Van Buren and Kalamazoo County border. That auto repair business was burglarized and several very expensive auto repair devices and a number of tools were stolen.

Hinz says police are not certain if another case is directly related or not, however the Kalamazoo Fence Company, located approximately two miles west of Complete Care Automotive was also burglarized overnight. No word on what was taken from Kalamazoo Fence, however Michigan State Police investigators are asking anyone that may have seen suspicious activity at either of the two businesses overnight, or anyone with any other information in the case, to please call the Michigan State Police Paw Paw Post at 269-657-5551.
