A suspect in a February bank robbery in Benton Township has been caught. The Benton Township Police Department says the Huntington Bank on Pipestone Road was robbed the morning of February 23. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after indicating he had a gun and threatening to kill everyone there. Another suspect was driving the getaway vehicle. Benton Township police now say they received several tips in the case and they were able to identify the suspect. He was located in South Bend and arrested. He’s been identified as a 51-year-old Benton Harbor man. He’s now in custody awaiting an indictment on a charge of bank robbery. Benton Township Police thank everyone who gave them tips in the case.
