The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber has announced the nominees for their annual 2022 Business Recognition Breakfast, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Honor Credit Union, on February 24th.

In keeping with tradition, the Chamber will also recognize one of their 14 Ambassadors as their 2021 Ambassador of the Year.
The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will host the 2022 Business Recognition Breakfast Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony at the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center’s Grand Upton Hall on Thursday February 24th at 7:00 a.m. The event will be held in full accordance with CDC guidelines and will include a simulcast option for those who wish to attend virtually.
Tickets for both in-person and virtual attendance will go on sale Monday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m. at www.smrchamber.com.
Attendees will hear a special Keynote from new President & CEO of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Jim Holcomb, which will include an economic outlook for 2022. Holcomb first joined the Michigan Chamber in 2008 to lead its Business Advocacy Team which he designed, coordinated and implemented strategies to enact the Chamber’s legislative agenda and advance policies. From there, he jumped to Executive Vice President and General Counsel, then in January of 2022 Holcomb officially assumed the role of President & CEO.
During his tenure at the Michigan Chamber, Holcomb is credited with strengthening Michigan’s business and economic competitiveness and has earned the Chamber repeated top honors as the “Most Effective Association” in a biennial survey of Michigan capital insiders.
