The event is presented by the South Haven Speakers Series.

Greg Dooley will explore the powerful economic forces shaping today’s college sports—from historical developments to today’s groundbreaking changes. He will look at the rise and fall of the NCAA and the fight for athletes’ rights.  Dooley talks about the turbulence in college sports today from paying players, the transfer portal, conference alignments and where we are heading.

“Greg Dooley is a vibrant and insightful speaker,” said board member Dave Murphey. “His understanding of the business behind college sports is unparalleled.”

Elaine Stephens, president of the South Haven Speakers Series, added, “To truly understand the dramatic changes in college athletics, it’s essential to understand the history behind them. Our speaker will provide that critical context.”

The evening begins at 6:30 pm for a wine and cheese reception, followed by the presentation at 7 pm. Admission is $10, and students attend free of charge.
