The Recovery Den opens in Stevensville’s Village Square

A new wellness and recovery business has opened in Stevensville, offering therapies aimed at helping clients improve physical recovery and overall well-being.

The Recovery Den held its grand opening in November and is located in Village Square, just behind Pizza Hut at 2650 John Beers Road. Co-owners Demiko and Amelia Price say the business was created to bring modern recovery options to the local community.

“The Recovery Den is a wellness and recovery space designed to help people feel better mentally and physically.”

Dimeko (or Meko, pronounced ‘mee-koh’ for short) said he and his wife were motivated to open the business after experiencing the effects of aging, including inflammation, soreness and slower recovery times. He said interest in recovery-focused therapies has grown as more people look for ways to stay active and manage chronic pain.

“There’s a big interest and investment in recovery therapies to keep people performing at a high level and doing the things they like to do,” Price said.

The Recovery Den offers four services: red light therapy, localized cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and compression sleeve therapy. Price said the therapies are designed to reduce inflammation, improve circulation and promote faster healing.

Cryotherapy sessions at the facility last about 60 seconds and focus on specific areas of the body. “It’s very targeted and controlled on the area that actually needs the treatment,” Price said.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing high-concentration oxygen in a pressurized environment for about an hour per session, which Price said allows the body to absorb more oxygen and heal more efficiently.

The business is open Monday through Friday until 7 p.m. and until 5 p.m. on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be booked at recoveryden.com or through the business’s social media pages.

Price said the owners are encouraged by the community’s response since opening and are looking forward to expanding partnerships within the area.
