Top Real Estate Producer for 2017 Has All the Wright Stuff

The guy that the team at the Harbor Shores Resort community placed at the helm as Real Estate Director in 2008 when most of the resort only resided on blueprints, in fancy reports and in the collective minds of a number of great visionaries, continues to astound the people that hired him for the job, and the rest of the real estate community in Michigan’s Great Southwest as well. His name is Kerry Wright II and he continues to prove year-after-year that he’s got “The Wright Stuff” to do his job exceptionally well.

Wright, who heads up Evergreen Real Estate, finished 2017 as the top producing real estate agent in all of Southwest Michigan when measured by dollar volume. In doing so, he eclipsed nearly 800 fellow agents.

The prolific young real estate champion, who is now shepherding Harbor Shores’ seventh neighborhood in the past seven years, finished 2017 with just over $27-million in sales, topping the contingent of 791 agents in the system of the Southwestern Michigan Association of Realtors serving Berrien County and the western halves of Cass and Van Buren Counties.

Wright was feted at the Association’s annual recognition awards luncheon back on Friday (March 2nd). In the process he was presented with the Association’s Diamond Award for the eighth consecutive year, every year since he placed the first residential property at Harbor Shores into the sold column. His expertise and talent extend far beyond the boundaries of Harbor Shores, however, as he offers a full complement of services to a broad array of clients at Evergreen.

Wright says, “I am extremely grateful for my success in 2017. Finishing the year as the top producing agent in Southwest Michigan means a lot to me especially because this area is served by some very accomplished real estate agents and brokers.” He adds, “It has been extremely gratifying to grow my clientele beyond Harbor Shores and be recognized as the #1 agent serving clients in Southwest Michigan.”

Wright is originally from Berrien Springs and continues as Director of Sales and Marketing for Harbor Shores, where he has enjoyed tremendous success in the sale of a wide range of homes in the resort’s seven residential neighborhoods including:

  • Hideaway Cottages
  • Trailside Cottages
  • Fairways Signature Golf Homes
  • Enclave
  • Champions Village Golf Villas
  • Harbor Village
  • The Inn at Harbor Shores

Kerry originally launched his real estate career as a sales associate in West Palm Beach, Florida for Pulte Homes, and advanced to a sales management role for the Pulte team in Chicago before returning to his roots in Southwest Michigan joining Evergreen and Harbor Shores.

The 2018 calendar year will mark the 14th year in a row that Wright has been practicing real estate full time.  He holds his Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) certifications. The GRI certification is held by only 21-percent of all realtors nationally.

Kerry serves as a trustee on the St Joseph Public Schools Board of Education and the First Church of God Preschool Board of Trustees. Wright holds an undergraduate degree from Albion College and a master’s degree from Aquinas College and is married to Erin (Freer) Wright and together they raise their three daughters.
