Traditional & modern folk music with Blue Water Ramblers at Box Factory Oct. 18

Blue Water Ramblers

The Michigan-based band Blue Water Ramblers will bring their lively mix of traditional and original folk songs to the Box Factory stage on October 18.

The Blue Water Ramblers perform in the time-honored stylings of a string band — writing and performing traditional folk music with modern themes. Along with playing guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and viola, the musicians take turns harmonizing to create a colorful tapestry of sound. Their musical focus on Michigan life has delighted audiences throughout the Great Lakes region.

We think our hero, Woody Guthrie, would approve because we’re singing the people’s songs about the people’s lives, and they can join right in,” the Ramblers state on their website, bluewaterramblers.comThey have released several albums and are in demand at festivals, fairs, and riverboat cruises.

See the Blue Water Ramblers on Saturday, October 18, from 7-9 p.m. at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St. in St. Joseph.

Tickets are $12 general admission purchased in advance at ticketstripe.com/bluewaterramblers, or $15 at the door. A cash bar will be available.
