
The Twin City Players community theatre group recently recognized outstanding performances and volunteer contributions from its 2024–25 season during the 37th annual Tiffany Awards.
The awards, named after charter member and actress Marion Tiffany, honor achievements both on stage and behind the scenes. A panel of judges selects the winners each year.
Lead acting honors went to Jordan York for his portrayal of George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life and Alexa Rae Liberi for her role as Inga in Young Frankenstein. Supporting Actor awards were presented to Jorin Tabbert for Young Frankenstein and William Klein for multiple roles in It’s a Wonderful Life. Supporting Actress awards went to Adrienne Glisson in Young Frankenstein and Deborah Christy in Sense & Sensibility.
Character roles were recognized with Jarad Medukas winning for Young Frankenstein and Will Flaherty for Unnecessary Farce. Claudia Staude received Character Actress for The Mousetrap. The Youth Award went to Henry Nelson for his work in It’s a Wonderful Life.
Newcomer honors went to Jakob Prillwitz for Anastasia and Marla DePew for Unnecessary Farce. Jim Richards received the “Hammy” award for Unnecessary Farce. The ensemble of Sense & Sensibility earned Outstanding Ensemble.
Technical recognition included Danny and Laura Gilligan for set design in Young Frankenstein, Barb Stepka and Reta Trux for costume design in Sense & Sensibility, and Scott Bradford for lighting design in Young Frankenstein.
Volunteer and service awards were also presented. Kim Kidd and Ilene Nemitz received the President’s Award, John Taylor received The Player Award, Caitlin Sampsell was honored with the Dottie Griffith Distinguished Volunteer Award, and Larry Nielsen received the Bob Grace Service Award. Unsung Hero Awards went to members of casts and crews from all six productions of the season.
Founded in 1932, Twin City Players is one of Michigan’s oldest continuously operating community theaters. The nonprofit organization presents productions at the TCP Playhouse on Glenlord Road in St. Joseph.
