UFCU Among the Best of the Best

It's like the Academy Awards for marketers engaged in the credit union industry. In other words — it's big…really big. That's why you'll see a grand array of smiles all through the marketing department at United Federal Credit Union this week now that they've got the trophies back home following award ceremonies last week in Annaheim, California.

United Federal was recently honored with two Diamond Awards, which recognize outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.
 
The awards were presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council (MBDC), a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals. UFCU was entered in the class reserved for credit unions with assets greater than $1 billion. Awards were given in each of 30 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.
 
UFCU won the Category Best award in the Complete Campaign category for its entry entitled “Sit, Stay Rollover – Spring Certificate Campaign.” The submission featured a golden retriever named Rusty that would reliably “fetch” returns as well as “sit, stay and rollover.” Rusty became a favorite of members and staff, as well as the public when life-sized, stuffed golden retrievers were donated to charitable organizations.
 
UFCU also won an award for the redesign of its website into an interactive financial resource for members to turn to for easy self-service options and up-to-the-minute financial information. The responsive design also improved access to the features for mobile users.
 
Andy Reed is Chair of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council and President & CEO himself of the Texas People Credit Union. He says, "The Diamond Awards competition represents the pinnacle of credit union marketing and business development." He adds, "These awards honor credit unions in categories ranging from brand awareness to website, social media and mobile marketing. The recipients represent the very best of the best in their profession.”
