United Federal Tabs Pro for Director of Property Management Role

A professional who brings a depth of industry knowledge to his new role has been tabbed as the Director of Property Management for United Federal Credit Union.

United has announced the selection of Sorin Mihalache to that post, where he will operate from the credit union’s corporate building in Niles.

In his new role, Mihalache’s responsibilities include the development of  both short- and long-term goals based on future growth initiatives…and the planning, directing, supervising, and coordination of facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation, and mechanical functions for all branches (building and grounds), equipment, and purchasing for the credit union.

Before joining United, Mihalache served as the Regional Manager at Legacy Varin in Highland Park, Illinois where he managed and provided strategic direction to teams managing multi-family apartment communities for six years.

Prior to Legacy Varin, Mihalache worked with American Residential Communities in Denver, Colorado from 2004 to 2013. He served as a Field Training Specialist and moved up to District Manager overseeing housing communities throughout Indiana, Michigan, and New York.

Mihalache holds his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and international business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
