What do a North Pier Brewing Company craft brewing experience, a Boulevard Inn & Bistro dinner and overnight stay, and a co-hosting role on the Moody in the Morning Show all have in common? Very simply they are all up for bids in the United Way of Southwest Michigan’s 3rd Annual Bid United Online Auction which begins next week on Cyber Monday.
Since Monday, November 26th is already a day when people are scanning electronic devices for awesome buys, the team at United Way has managed to capitalize on the opportunity to get in on the action thanks to generous donors who are making things, experiences, and beyond attainable by the highest bidder come the end of the week.
This third annual online affair begins at 10am on Monday the 26th and will wrap up at 2pm on Friday the 30th. In between, the United Way team is hopeful there will be lots of spirited bidding by fans eager of locking in the winning price on any of those gifts, experiences and more. Their goal is to eclipse the $5,000 mark, so bid early, bid often, and fight for your right to party.
An array of items and experiential offerings have been donated by community businesses and individuals, and 100-percent of the proceeds will benefit United Way of Southwest Michigan. Auction items include Fluff N’ Suds gift cards, that Boulevard & Bistro dinner and overnight stay package, a North Pier Brewing Company beer-brewing experience, KitchenAid and Whirlpool small kitchen appliances, and much more, including the chance to join me live on the radio some morning soon.
Ryan Cheevers is Marketing & Communications Manager with United Way of SWM. He’s thankful in this season of giving, saying, “This online auction would not be possible without the generosity and support from so many incredible businesses and people around our community.” He adds, “When we say there is something for everyone, we mean there is something for everyone. It’s a great opportunity to score great deals on some cool items.”
For families with children, an “Experience St. Joseph” package is available, which includes two $10 Curious Kids’ Museum gift cards, 20 tokens for the Silver Beach Carousel, a $25 gift card to The Toy Company, and a $25 gift card to Kilwins. The starting bid for that experience is just $35. There are similar experiences in Coloma, Stevensville, Buchanan, Benton Harbor, and Dowagiac.
