Volunteers To Remove Invasive Plants From Warren Dunes

Volunteers will take to Warren Dunes State Park next weekend to remove invasive plants. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says they will work to rid the park of bittersweet, autumn olive, honeysuckle and other invasives. They may even get a head start on garlic mustard removal for the year. The DNR is inviting everyone who wants to help to head over to Warren Dunes on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. No experience is necessary, but everyone’s urged to bring a pair of gloves. Those who plan to take part in the stewardship day are urged to send an email to register.
